This price is a steal, including the 1st to 3rd albums, the 4th "STAND!", and the 5th "Riot," plus bonus tracks and a remaster! I was blown away by the 2nd album, "Dance to the Music." It's a masterpiece that still holds up today. It's probably underrated and not widely listened to, so you'll shout "COOL!!" when you hear it for the first time. The assessment that it's the essence of FUNK is completely accurate; listening to them alone might be enough for the genre. I also bought the highly-rated 6th album, "Fresh," but it wasn't that great. They were really messed up on drugs... I think listening to these five albums and Woodstock Live is all you need for Sly & The Family Stone, right?
