Flygsfors Coquille Freeform Art Glass Trinket Dish Signed 1958 Paul Kedelv

A stunning freeform art glass sculpture trinket dish. Consists of pink and white encased in clear glass. Signed "Flygsfors 58, Coquille". Designed by Paul Kedelv, part of his organic "Coquille" range. Tallest part approx 5" T x 3 1/2" W x 4 1/4" D x 1 1/4" T bottom portion. Excellent preowned collectible condition. No chips or cracks. Only tiny light scratches base bottom. Great art glass freeform piece could be used as a ring holder, jewelry catch-all or just admired as eye candy.
Flygsfors glass was founded in Sweden in 1888 and changed hands several times, W. G. de Moor became art director for Flygsfors in 1939, and Paul Kedelv joined in 1949 - 1956, having previously worked at Orrefors. Of Paul Kedelv's designs for Flygsfors, his best known by far is the Coquille range. These were signed "Flygsfors" followed by the year, and "Kedelv" while he was at the factory, alternatively "Coquille" if made after he left in 1956. Flygsfors was bought by Orrefors in 1974, and closed in 1979.
