Alternatively, if the ground is too dry, you may find that you are unable to create the smooth lines you are seeking. - An even depth of edging looks clean and professional. Work to maintain a consistent ridge of between 2” and 4” as you create your beds.- To minimize strain on your body, use the extra wide footplate to help you insert the Edger-Chopper into the soil. Rock the blade gently by pushing on the handle for additional leverage.- In addition to edging, the design of the blade edge allows the Weasel® Edger-Chopper to cut through small roots that may be in your way.
