🌟 Product Details 🆔 Inventory CodeINV3272 Ⓜ️ MaterialPorcelain 🏳️ OriginGermany 🏛️ Period19th Century 🅂 SubjectShepherd Playing Bagpipes with Dog and Floral Bocage 🏷️ MarkedHand-painted Gold Anchor Mark — Dresden After Derby 📜 Description A colourful and expressive Dresden porcelain figure made in the 19th century, inspired by earlier Derby models. The shepherd is seated on a rococo scroll base, playing the bagpipes with a faithful dog at his side. Rich polychrome enamels, beautifully moulded flowers, and gilt scrollwork reflect the decorative tastes of Dresden workshops producing high-quality Derby-style figures in the mid–late 1800s. Collector’s Notes: Figures “after Derby” were widely produced in Dresden during the 19th century by skilled decorators who replicated and adapted English Rococo designs. The gold anchor mark is associated with these Dresden interpretations rather than Derby itself. The vivid enamels, pastoral theme, and musical motif make this an especially attractive collector’s piece. 🔍 Condition GOOD ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) – Minor expected flower losses and small gilt wear; no major damage found.
