This figurine is 4.75" tall and has no cracks, chips, mars or blemishes but has crazing on the bottom *see photo). Otherwise, it is in perfect MINT condition. The trademark (3 Stylized Bee) places the manufacture of this piece Circa 1959– 1969. This was created from Sister Maria’s drawings by master sculptor Arthur Moeller in 1935.
Sister Maria had a love of children, and a whimsical nature, sketching them in various situations. As always, Sister Maria draws to depict the daily items and special events in children's lives. This Merry Wanderer is a boy walking along with valise in one hand, an umbrella over his arm and a song on his lips! The same base little boy has been used in several other figurines such as Globe Trotter.
