The card will be protected under a couple of coats of sealer for added durability ACEO stands for Art Cards, Editions and Originals. An aceo is a miniature painting or drawing or artwork, that MUST measure 2.5” x 3.5”. The concept was started in the US , when an artist who was struggling to sell his work realised that it wasn’t because people didn’t want them, it was because they didn’t have enough wall space to hang any more larger paintings. He came up with the idea that if he could paint miniatures, people could collect them and display them in photo albums…just like people collect football cards. The idea quickly caught on and thousands of people started collecting. Today, People all over the world have many hundreds in their collections of these tiny artworks. A way to collect art at reasonable prices without worrying about where to put them. ATC’s are in effect the same thing except that ATC’s (artist trading cards) are made to be swapped and not sold…apart from that, there is no difference.
