Great Estate Find. June Dole Cross Stitch Kit. Vintage packaging wear. Kit appears complete. Has floss, instructions, cloth, needle. This kit is THREAD COUNT. Frame is NOT included.
From the packaging: "The SHARP Sampler which you can make from this kit is a copy of the original which is in the private collection of June Dole. It was done by her great grandfather's first wife, Eliza S. Sharp, in 1855. The piece was saved from being burnt with other handmade items by Mrs, Dole's father, Gordon P. Sharp, and was brought by him to this country from the ancestoral home in Canada (note the crowns in the Sampler). A photograph of the original is included in the kit. The finished size of the sampler is 13" X 13 1/2"."
